Want a Degree in Cannabis Studies? Here you go!
Dreaming about a degree in cannabis studies? Your dream has come true. Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia will be offering graduate-level certificate programs in medical marijuana.
Courses are to start this fall. The university offers two graduate certificate programs in cannabis medicine and cannabinoid pharmacology at Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp. A third program — cannabinoid chemistry and toxicology — will be ready to roll in 2019.
According to Charles Pollack, head of the Lambert Center, “health care professionals have had few evidence-based educational options to learn about medical marijuana’s benefits and risks in clinical settings” and the aim of these new programs is to change this situation.
The center will be the nation’s first graduate-level certificate program in medical marijuana. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
