Donegal (Chem Dawg) is a 50/50 hybrid strain. During its harvest season this strain/plant can produce medium sized buds that are coated with heavy amount of crystals. When held in your hand or even just opening the jar, you immediately get wonderful aroma of diesel, earthy and pine. There also may be other undertones that some individuals may smell. For instance I kind of smelled a Chemical, pungent smell However, in my case each time I took in the aroma I could pick up other random undertones… The buds are dense and filled with heavy amounts of crystals. At first sight you can see light and dark green buds as well as intense orange-red hairs/textures. In any case when used Donegal (Chem Dawg) can be quite helpful to reduce stress and may also help to relieve pain. You can expect to feel: Creative, euphoric, relaxed, happy and uplifted when using Donegal (Chem Dawg). Some users say this strain can be quite similar to that of Cheviot otherwise known as Black Widow. The high produce by Donegal (Chem Dawg) can have lasting effects approx. up to 3+ hours. Even after the effects begin to wear off, it still almost feels like the high is continuing. Overall from my opinion, I will definitely buy this strain again as it wasn’t too bad in price when bought individually. Needless to say this strain delivers when it comes to THC and Medical benefits. I would recommend this strain to those looking for an energy boost but more importantly, to those who have difficulty coping with stress and pain. This strain can be a great aid to those needing some relief to manage their day.

This strain is obviously one of the stronger THC strains, so smoking a joint of it will get you medicated for several hours - and I consider myself an experienced user. So I would say long lasting effects, I would have to say it is very relaxing. Like all my orders at Tweed, the process was great - all online, no problems there, and it gets delivered ridiculously fast - like next day! Packaging is great - the buds are perfect. This particular strain/batch is particularly fresh, nice drying and curing obviously, trimmed really well. It is a bit too expensive for my taste - if there is one issue I would have with Tweed it is availability - they should have more strains available, and when a strain is available it should always be available. The bud makes me 'high' and relaxed - great for chilling after a hard day's work. Love it

Easy summary: Awesome hybrid with some diesel/pungent odors to not only get uplifted but also to bring you to sleep/down after moderate sessions. Background: I am not a new user of these products so keep in mind that I may have a higher tolerance than others (and lower than others too). I suffer mainly from pain (spinal cord injuries), insomnia and anxiety/stress which I try to target. Shipment and Packaging: Ordered it later in the evening on Tuesday and arrived Thursday morning. Standard Xpresspost bag, inside a cellophane sealed box, inside the box is a nicely laid out and then packaged in child proof safety containers. Price: At $9/g I think for the product received is decent compared to other Tweed buds, but still far too much. Personally this good weed should be at the $6 price point and only top brand up to $9. But such is life when the government wants their cuts and private enterprise what legal income. Smell: Nice and pungent with that diesel smell. Bud: Somewhat small (but average to large for Tweed). Seemed dried out well enough and came apart well to be slightly ground up. Taste: Packed the glass bowl on the Arizer Q and set it at a 226 degrees C. Lots of good vapor within a few minutes with more pungent diesel tastes. I could taste a bit of pine/earth tones as well. Effects: Longer Arizer Q session where I pulled about 4 bags off of it at 226 degrees C over about 1.5 hours. I was already done for the night and wanted to chill out in front of the TV. This has a great head high in my eyes (which actually got quite dry later in the night). I was nice and relaxed and mentally uplifted. About an hour in the high started to make my body very heavy and induced a really nice deep sleep. Overall: For my stress/anxiety and insomnia I really loved this strain. For me I will be ordering again as I can hit a session to take the stress and anxiety away and slowly melt into a deep body buzz sleep.

Duration is pretty good, not an upper or a downer, something in the middle. OK for day or night, but more suited to night.

Tweed nailed it with this batch of Chem Dawg. Properly moistened small buds that were mature and coated with a nice mature frosting. They selected a great phenotype that produced a silky soft diesel like smell that was simply intoxicating. The effects were right on par and superior to previous batches. The most disappointing thing is this is going to be the last batch that Tweed produces of this product. I am sure they are dedicating their space to new and wonderful strains, but when you have something that works it is sad to see it go. Like a medication going off the market that has helped you for years - it is difficult to find an alternative that provides the same effect. I hope they provide a suitable replacement or reconsider their decision to stop producing this strain. It would most certainly sell well if they could continue producing it up to the current quality. I felt the wonderful 50/50 hybrid effects of this strain as it calmed my anxiety and eased my pain. I would highly recommend this strain for those purposes if it ever comes back.

...But despite my indecision in strains, I've discovered that I like this one for midday. It helps settle my mind and calm some of my anxiety. At first, there's a slight tightening feeling around the eyes. When that fades, it has pleasant lasting effects for an hour or so for me. (Though, I have a high tolerance for any medication.)

New to medicinal cannabis, I've been trying to find a new strain to help me titrate down from the large amount of meds that I have to take in order to fall asleep each night. Last night I started my evening with vaping strains (CBD) that would help me mellow out. I ended my evening with vaping Tweed's Donegal. It was recommended to me by a Tweed Customer Care Rep because of it's long lasting effects. Donegal is smelly!! After grinding it up, I cleaned everything off because I didn't want the place having that strong "weed" smell. Vaping it produced what I would compare to an earthy taste and smelling like walking through a thick evergreen forest. That's the best way I can describe my take on Donegal. Vaping it allowed me to become completely relaxed and later actually drifted off to sleep without taking the large amount of meds, which I regularly take at night. This was the first time in 3 years I felt relaxed enough to fall asleep without pharm meds!! Definitely not the "be all" strain for sleep, but it definitely aided in a wonderful night of natural sleep :)
